After some leaks, we now have the official launch of the Ryzen 5 7500X3D, which becomes the new, most affordable option to offer 3D V-Cache on AMD’s AM5 platform. The processor was announced for US$269, the equivalent of approximately R$1,417.60 at the current price.
For the investment, the user will have a 6-core CPU with 12 threads, based on the Zen 4 architecture on socket AM5. Being an X3D processor, the Ryzen 5 7500X3D’s biggest difference is its large cache, which offers a total of 102MB, just like the model directly above, the 7600X3D.
Many of these processors are confirmed without much fanfare by AMD, just with an update on the official website. But in the case of the 7500X3D we had more publicity, which includes benchmark results.

As you can see in the graphs below, comparing the CPU with the Intel Core Ultra 5 245KF, AMD promises an average of 13% greater performance for the Ryzen 5 7500X3D in games. Speaking specifically of “competitive games” – often lighter – the difference increases to an average of 22%.
The company also released a comparison of its new processor with the Intel Core i5-14600K. As expected, the performance differences are smaller, but are still considerable, appearing at 8% for general games and 12% for competitive games.
First reviews for the processor are now available
The launch of the Ryzen 5 7500X3D was accompanied by reviews on some websites abroad. Apparently, the first to publish were channels from Europe, such as the well-known ComputerBase and HardwareLuxx.

In general terms, the new CPU is well praised, but the price is still considered a bit steep, even for the new, more affordable X3D option in AM5. In other words, it seems to be the type of product that can become very attractive with the right discount on promotion.
