New ASUS RTX 5060 Dual EVO are smaller and use a power connector in an unusual place

ASUS this week introduced four new variants of the RTX 5060 in a new Dual EVO series. The new cards are aimed at more compact builds, so they make interesting changes to their design that make the models unique in the ASUS portfolio.

To begin with, the RTX 5060 Dual EVO has a reduced size compared to the standard Dual models. They measure 225 x 120 x 42mm, with a 2.1 slot profile. The housing has a slightly different look too, and the two fans use double ball bearings to help reduce noise. The GPUs also have a 0dB mode that turns off the fans when the system does not require much performance, something that has become common in current components.

Another aspect that draws a lot of attention in the new models is the power connector. To begin with, as you can see in the images, it was relocated to a very unusual and non-standard position. Furthermore, VideoCardz points out that the new RTX 5060 Dual EVO are the first ASUS cards with a single 8-pin PCIe 5.0 connector.

It draws a lot of attention that ASUS has already presented four GPU variants for its new RTX 5060 Dual EVO series. They are standard or Ti models and with or without OC. Below, their clocks straight out of the box:
