Amazon today starts selling three new devices with Alexa in Brazil: Echo Dot Max (R$ 849), Echo Show 8 (R$ 1,799) and Echo Show 11 (R$ 2,199). The devices were presented in September, during an event in the United States, and feature more advanced processors for the use of generative artificial intelligence. The three pieces of equipment arrive in stores this Wednesday (12).
Echo Dot Max: redesigned sound system
The Echo Dot Max is the first Echo Dot designed with two speakers. The device offers almost three times more bass compared to the fifth-generation Echo Dot, according to Amazon, with immersive sound that automatically adapts to the environment. The system combines a high excursion woofer, with the promise of deep bass, and a tweeter, whose objective is to produce clear highs.

The design eliminates the separate speaker module, integrating the component directly into the structure of the device to double the air gap and deliver richer bass. Echo Dot Max uses the AZ3 processor with AI accelerator, which improves conversation detection and allows Alexa to detect the wake word with 50% greater efficiency. The device is available for R$849 in white, graphite and purple.
During a conversation with journalists, Amazon representatives explained that the Echo Dot name will not receive new updates. With this, Dot Max becomes the entry-level product in this line.
Echo Show 8 and 11: improved screens

The new Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 feature screens with touch-in-cell technology and a negative liquid crystal design, which reduces layers of lamination and maximizes the viewing angle. When handling, it is noticeable that the layer on the screen is thinner.
The image quality promises clarity both in well-lit environments and in darker places. The system interface has been modified, with a control panel full of options, in addition to the widgets already known from past generations.
Both models include revamped audio architecture with front-facing stereo speakers and custom woofer for spatial audio. The audio components are positioned under the displays and play the sound forward.

The devices use the AZ3 Pro processor, which adds compatibility with modern language models and computer vision systems, in addition to a 13 megapixel camera. It can be greatly explored by Alexa+, a new generation of voice assistant, integrated into LLM, but which is currently available in the United States and a few countries. There is no release forecast in Brazil.
The Echo Show 8 costs R$1,799 and the Echo Show 11 costs R$2,199. Both are available in white and graphite colors.
Amazon also presented an adjustable support designed to harmonize with the design of each device. It will be sold separately for R$199.
Echo Studio is still missing

The new Echo Studio (second generation) was also announced in September, along with the other devices, but is not yet scheduled to arrive in Brazil. The device is 40% more compact than the original and supports spatial audio and Dolby Atmos. It combines a high-excursion woofer with three full-range speakers, which are positioned to create immersive sound. In the United States, the Echo Studio is expected to cost US$1,999 (about R$10,540 in direct conversion and without taxes).
