In the storage segment, Samsung will present the SSD PM9E1 M.2 in standard PCIe Gen5. Its difference is the reduced format of 22 x 42 millimeterswhich allows installation in equipment with limited space.
Despite its compact size, the drive achieves read speeds of 14.8 GB/s and 13.4 GB/s recording, positioning itself among the fastest options in the category.
The storage capacity reaches 4 TBa milestone for a device of these dimensions. The product is described as the first PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD optimized for artificial intelligence in a format M.2 ultracompact.
It is suitable for high-performance computers, advanced games and AI processing directly on the device.
The brain of PM9E1 is the controller “Presto“, internal project of Samsungcombined with the flash memory V-NAND V8 TLC. This combination ensures good performance in energy consumption, response time and useful life.
The product architecture includes support for SPDM security protocol version 1.2which performs device authentication and verifies the integrity of the firmware, ensuring data protection.
