This week, Intel released two new wireless drivers that update both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with optimizations for Windows 11 25H2. The latest version of Microsoft’s operating system has been available since September 30, so it is recommended that users who have already updated the drivers also update their drivers.
It is important to highlight that, despite having the same version denominator – 23.170.0 – we are talking about two drivers. Each one has its own news information.
Starting with the Wi-Fi driver, Intel highlights:
- Wi-Fi drivers version 23.170.0 have been validated to support all new Wi-Fi features introduced by Microsoft Windows 11 25H2, including Wi-Fi 7 capabilities for enterprise access points and native Wi-Fi detection support.
- There may be small issues that impact performance, stability or specific features not listed in the changelog. Users are encouraged to update to the latest version for best performance.

Regarding the Bluetooth driver, Intel does not highlight specific improvements, but makes the same recommendation to keep the system updated to ensure the best performance in Windows 11.

Only Windows 11 supports Wi-Fi 7
Official support for Windows 10 ended on October 13th, but there are many users who still maintain this version of the system – either with extended support or giving it up altogether.
Therefore, it is worth noting that the new Intel drivers are also available for the previous generation of Microsoft’s operating system. However, only Windows 11 supports Wi-Fi 7, so updating the driver alone will not bring the functionality to Windows 10.
