NVIDIA released a new driver update for its GPUs this week, taking GeForce Game Ready to version 581.80 WHQL. Among its main highlights, the update brings launch optimization for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, well before the game’s debut.
The new COD will launch with DLSS 4 support when it arrives on November 14th. It is worth remembering that the game will be available on the first day for subscribers of the Xbox Ultimate plan and PC Game Pass.

The new NVIDIA driver also includes Game Ready optimizations for titles arriving before Black Ops 7. Europa Universalis V is coming to PC today, November 4th, and Anno 117: Pax Romana will be released on the 13th. These two games are already optimized with the 581.80 driver, including DLSS super resolution support.

Fixed and known bugs in NVIDIA driver update
As usual, the driver update fixes some known bugs, while not fixing others. The list is short, so it’s worth mentioning.
Starting with the good news, driver 581.80 brings performance optimizations for F1 25, when using DLSS Frame Generation. Additionally, issues that caused Vulkan-based apps to crash when used on systems with Intel Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad CPUs were fixed.
In the meantime, we have two games with known issues that persist in the update. In the famous CS2, the text may appear somewhat distorted when the game’s resolution is lower than the monitor’s native resolution. In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, light flickering may occur in certain system configurations.

Updating the GeForce driver can be done by downloading the new version directly from its official website or through the NVIDIA App, which searches and makes these updates automatically in its default configuration.
