TIM is evaluating the possibility of purchasing Oi Soluções, a corporate division that survived the dismantling of the old Oi and still concentrates business service contracts. According to Andrea Viegas, the operator’s financial director, the company was invited to evaluate the assets and has not yet made a definitive decision.
The information is from the website MobileTime. According to the executive, the process is in its initial phase. “We are seeing what is on the market to understand whether we are interested or not,” Viegas told the website. “Oi Soluções has a series of B2B contracts, but we don’t have a deadline to provide a response. We start now.”
Why Oi?
Oi Soluções operates in the business-to-business (B2B) segment, providing connectivity, infrastructure and technological integration services for large companies — a market that has been gaining relevance within TIM’s strategy.
CEO Alberto Griselli reinforced that the corporate area is one of the most promising fronts for the company’s growth in the coming years. “B2B is one of the areas in which we will invest to grow in the coming years”, he explained to MobileTime.
TIM has focused its efforts on four main verticals: agribusiness, infrastructure, utilities and mining. According to Griselli, these areas are aligned with the company’s profile and have high potential for expansion.

In addition to strengthening its presence in already consolidated sectors, the operator wants to expand its operations in corporate applications, system integration and technology solutions — areas in which Oi Soluções already has experience.
In the medium term, plans also include investments in cloud and cybersecurity, with a focus on expanding opportunities for cross-selling e upselling between corporate clients.
Meanwhile, Oi continues trying to restructure its operations after years of crisis and one of the largest judicial recoveries in Brazilian history. As for TIM, the purchase of the company could consolidate its presence in the Brazilian corporate market.
