TeamGroup introduces new PCIe 5.0 SSDs with speeds of up to 10,000MB/s

TeamGroup launched its new NV10000 line of PCIe 5.0 SSDs this week. There are three new variants in different capacity options that offer up to 10,000MB/s of speed, bringing much more performance than the previous generation of PCIe, but seeking a more affordable price range than really high-end drives.

Interestingly, TeamGroup itself recently launched the T-Force Z54E line, with drives that take advantage of more of the potential of PCIe 5.0 to deliver an impressive 14,900MB/s. Thus, the new NV10000 line seeks to offer options with a little less performance for friendlier prices. Unfortunately, the company does not provide a suggested price for the products.

The new NV10000 line of PCIe 5.0 SSDs was announced in the following options:

• 1TB: 10,000MB/s reading | 8,200MB/s recording
• 2TB: 10,000MB/s reading | 8,500MB/s recording
• 4TB: 9,500MB/s reading | 8,000MB/s recording

Performance estimates refer to sequential read and write. TeamGroup does not reveal the random performance of the drives, which is important for gaming performance.

TeamGroup promises longevity and security in new drives

Since these are cost-benefit SSDs, TeamGroup promotes the durability of the products. They come with a graphene heatsink, just like the T-Force Z54E line drives, but with a less flashy look.

Additionally, NV10000 SSDs support the company’s monitoring software, called SMART. The program helps monitor the health of storage components and diagnose potential problems.

Components in the new range are also covered by a 5-year warranty. TeamGroup estimates a longevity of 600TBW for the 1TB model, going up to 1,200TBW for the 2TB version and up to 2,400TBW for the 4TB drive.
