Brazilian gamers have reason to celebrate. The ROG Xbox Ally X portable console was approved by Anatel last Tuesday (10/28) and can now be sold in Brazil, according to documentation obtained by Technoblog.
The registered model is black and is the result of a partnership between Asus and Microsoft. It comes with a new interface on Windows 11, called Xbox Experience for Handheld (or Xbox Experience for Portable, in free translation).

What shouldn’t be a reason to celebrate, however, is the price: the model costs US$999 in the USA. As it will be imported, it will not have tax benefits in Brazil and should cost more than the almost R$5,400 for direct conversion.
Its predecessor, the ROG Ally X, was launched here for R$7,999. Some rumors even indicated that the device would arrive in the country costing R$11,500, while its “smaller brother”, the ROG Xbox Ally (not yet approved), could arrive for R$8,100.
Asus denied this information a few days later, and clarified that the “announcement made by third parties refers to independent import, without the nationally required certifications and without the official guarantee from Asus Brazil”.

When does the ROG Xbox Ally X arrive?

The console does not yet have a release date in Brazil, but the approval indicates that this should happen soon. Despite the rumors, the official price has not been released either.
Announced in June, the two new Xbox portables went on pre-sale on the international market last month — and the Xbox Ally X, despite its high price, sold out within hours.
