The new Exynos 2600 chip should focus on AI and could outperform rivals in benchmarks.
Samsung may have given, this Thursday (10/30), a stronger clue about the return of its processors to the Galaxy S26 line. During the release of the financial statement for the third quarter of this year, the company stated that it will “strengthen the competitiveness of the Exynos process for flagship models” in 2026.
According to the website SamMobilespecialized in covering the brand, the section pointing out the “flagship models” is, most likely, a reference to the Galaxy S26 series. The publication notes that other high-end models, such as the Galaxy Z Flip 7, have already migrated to Exynos this year.
The report reinforces expectations that the Exynos 2600, the brand’s next high-end chip, will be a central bet for the company.
What to expect from the Exynos 2600?

Previous rumors indicate that the Exynos 2600 will be built on Samsung Foundry’s 2 nanometer (nm) manufacturing process. The chip’s internal architecture must also be robust. The SoC is expected to use a ten-core CPU from the ARM C1 series and maintain the partnership with AMD, bringing an Xclipse 950 GPU (based on the RDNA architecture).
The chip should really excel, according to these reports, in AI processing. The Exynos 2600’s NPU (Neural Processing Unit) would have performed six times better than Apple’s A19 Pro.
In leaked benchmarks, the Exynos 2600 would also have outperformed Apple’s chip by 15% (multi-core CPU) and up to 75% (GPU). The same tests would have shown a 30% faster NPU and a 29% higher GPU than Qualcomm’s rival Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
According to the SamMobilethe distribution strategy must change. The Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus would only use the Exynos 2600. The S26 Ultra, in turn, would also use the house’s chip in most markets, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 restricted to regions such as the USA, China and Japan.
