AMD has finally confirmed the official release date of its new high -performance processor series, the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9000WX. Also known for the Codiname Shimada Peak, components will be available in stores or already installed on systems from July 23.
The date of arrival of the products had appeared in previous leaks, indicating the beginning of its pre-sale. However, prices that even appeared to the line were not correct. It is worth checking below the values of the units of the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9000WX that will be available at the generation debut:

As we can see, the 9995WX arrives well below the more than $ 12,000 that the processor was listed. For the Top line processor of the Peak Shimada, AMD released the following comparison, with the Intel Xeon W9-3595X:

TechPowerup questions AMD’s decision to put 9995wx to compete with the Xeon W9-3595X. In fact, the comparison seems unfair, as the new threadripper has 96 nuclei and costs $ 11,700 while Intel’s “rival” costs $ 5,889, offering 60 cores.

AMD’s logic for the comparison seems to be “my line top for Workstation vs. Intel’s option,” as the competitor doesn’t have a more advanced processor than this for the segment. It would have been more interesting to see the comparison with Ryzen ThreadRipper Pro 9985X, which has a more similar configuration.
