AMD architecture -based processors, known as Zen 6, should be manufactured mostly in TSMC process N2, also called N2P. That is, they will have nuclei made in 2NM lithography, but components made of 3NM should also appear in the input models.
The information is not official, but comes from Kepler_L2, which has a great history of hardware leak hits. Answering comments on the Anandtech forum, he was emphatic in detailing the processes of each AMD segment that will use Zen 6.
According to information from Kepler_L2, we can expect the following:
- Venice (EPYC for servers): N2P (2NM)
- Venice Dense (EPYC for cloud servers): N2P (2nm)
- Olympic Ridge (Ryzen 10000 para desktop): N2P (2nm)
- Gator Range (??? para notebooks high-end): N2P (2nm)
- Medusa Point (Ryzen Ai 400?): N2p + n3p (2nm + 3nm) in line skus and only n3p in input skus
Information would be “confirmed,” says leakage
Until any official statement of AMD, all leak on Zen 6 should be viewed as a rumor. However, Kepler_L2 treats your post as something confirmed.
In addition to saying that people should not even be discussing processors’ lithography anymore, the insider states that all information from its post was offered by AMD to OEMs and AIBS.
