As already mentioned, the plate has a heavy focus on overclocking and may be ideal for those looking for world records. There are few alternatives, such as GPU Rog Astral, but it does not have the 12V-2 × 6 double implementation like this plate.
The main problem (besides price) is access to the so -called BIOS XOC. This BIOS unlocks total power of up to 2000W. And that is exactly what overclockers want as an option. Otherwise, what is the sense to buy this board?
It is also worth mentioning that Galax has never released a RTX 5090 that is not D in the Hof series. That is, it is something exclusive to 5090d. They also introduced something called Hof Gaming, a cheaper variant for some Skus, but is not available for the RTX 5090.
