AMD has released the initial list of games that will be supported by FSR4 at the launch. The company has also released information on how support will work and which signs will support technology.
First, FSR4 support will depend if the game already has FSR 3.1 support. The Super Resolution FidelityFX is AMD’s image upscaling technology that increases the frame rate per second (FPS) in games.
The FSR 4 will work through a manual alternation in AMD software, which will allow users to control whether it should be enabled. Another alternative to activate it will be through HYPR-RX, but it seems that technology will still be limited to games that support it.
According to the information available, the FSR4 does not have an ultra performance profile. The lowest quality is performance (upscaling 2x), while the highest quality is Native AA (without upscaling).
FSR4 is expected to be available with the launch of RX 9000 in March.

AMD has confirmed that the FSR4 will be supported only by RDNA4 plates and there is no information on FSR3 support at this time. The RDNA4 architecture has AI accelerators that accelerate FSR4’s Up4 Upscaling algorithms, now based on Machine Learning.
