Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 had its first performance tests leaked in Geekbench, revealing a 20% lower performance than RTX 5070 Ti.
The data, which emerged in Test Settings with the AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3D and 32 GB DDR5 processor, confirm expectations regarding the positioning of the new plate within the Nvidia Blackwell line.
The tests show that the RTX 5070 has reached a score of 187.414 no OpenCL e 188.712 no volcanowhile RTX 5070 Ti, in previous tests, obtained 179.178 no OpenCL e 177.395 no Vulkan.
The difference suggests a noticeable leap between the two models, something very common in the NVIDIA posiciomaneto by segmenting their GPUS well.
The results confirm that the RTX 5070 will be an intermediate option between 5070 IT and the lower models of the 5000 series, maintaining a good balance between cost and performance.
The RTX 5070 should come equipped with Blackwell architecture and possibly maintain optimized energy consumption, becoming an attractive option for players looking for good performance without spending as much as in a IT model.
RX 9070 XT is slower than RTX 5070 in the first tests
Another interesting fact revealed by Geekbench is that the AMD RX 9070 XT was behind RTX 5070 in the tests. The AMD GPU marked 177.395 no Vulkan e 179.178 no OpenCLnumbers lower than RTX 5070. However, tests may not have used final drivers, which may impact results.
Based on official tests, the RX 9070 XT is expected to exceed RTX 5070 in games, so these numbers should still be analyzed with caution
Such comparison raises questions about the actual performance of the RX 9070 XT in practical applications. While Geekbench numbers favor RTX 5070, game benchmarks can show a different scenario.
