AMD will not offer Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 in reference models

AMD does not intend to sell reference models for the Radeon RX 9070 XT or Radeon RX 9070. That is, the next generation of its video cards will be available only through customized models of its AIB partners. The information was confirmed by AMD itself, quite subtle.

In a recent post on social networks, the owner of the Radeon remembered everyone from her event on February 28 for the revelation of the RDNA 4 generation of video cards. The post came accompanied by a new art, which shows someone happy on the side of a supposed Radeon RX 9070 XT of reference.

Just below the video card, we have a small warning: “Artistic rendering. Not available for purchase ”. This confirms that the Radeon RX 9070 reference models that have appeared in AMD disclosures are only illustrative, not finished products for sale.

The staff at Notebookcheck points out that this is not the first time AMD gives up direct sales of video cards, but in the last generation we have had models of the RX 7000 reference.

Let’s find Radeon RX 9070 XT and not XT for the suggested price?

One of the main advantages of video card reference models offered directly by the owners of their GPUs is the guarantee of the suggested price, the famous MSRP. AIB partners are free to charge the prices they want for their custom models, which can float a lot depending on the supply and demand of the products.
