RTX 5070 Ti with less rops appears, delivering up to 11% less performance under test

Nvidia acknowledged that it had a production problem affecting the Rops count of some of its GPUS. It was in this statement that we found that the RTX 5070 IT was also affected, and now reports of “drawn” users with these defective units are beginning to appear.

The RTX 5070 TI affected by the problem come with 88 ROPs instead of 96 from the default configuration – a difference of 8, as well as on RTX 5090. After the first reports of these plates in the hands of end users, synthetic tests were also released with one of them.

The video card with less rops has 11% less performance in the spy team, 9% less on Speed ​​Way and only 3% less on Steel Nomad. The numbers float a lot, and Nvidia spoke of only 4% difference to GPUs affected by the manufacturing problem. It is possible that the number offered by the company is an average obtained in its tests.

In its publication recognizing the production problem that affects the Rops count of its plates, Nvidia said that affected buyers could exchange their defective GPUs for new ones. The process should be done with the AIB responsible for the specific model in the hands of the user.

The concern at the moment, however, is how long it will take. The RTX 50 series has been marked since the launch of the RTX 5090 and 5080 by low stocks, which also affect the most recently released RTX 5070 Ti.
