G.Skill presents his new DDR5 R-Dimm memories with 16-layer PCB

G.Skill presented today, February 21, its new DDR5 R-Dimm memory modules with 16-layer PCB. They are components focused on professional use, focusing on data protection and reliability, as well as performance. According to the manufacturer, the new memories meet the recently revised standards by JEDEC for the format.

The 16 layers on the new G.Skill modules are an increase compared to previous models, which were between 8 and 10 layers. The company states that the largest number improves signal integrity, which in turn offers more integrity and stability in data transmission between memories and the system.

G.Skill’s new memories bring other features as well, such as the addition of two Diodes Tvs (TRANSIENT VOLTAGE Suppression), as well as a fuse. These are components to ensure higher stability of the voltage that memory receives and avoid energy peaks, which can damage components.
