The Ryzen 9 9950x3d and its “brother” Ryzen 9 9900x3d are expected to make their debut at the end of the first quarter of 2025, ie March. This would place the launch of the CPUs near the arrival of the Radeon 9000 series, also scheduled for the end of next month.
Unofficial information comes from the French Cowcotland website, which unfortunately offers no more details about a possible launch window. As it did in the revelation of its Radeon RX 9070 XT and not XT, AMD only established that its new Ryzen 9 9950x3d and 9900x3D arrive in the first quarter of 2025.
For RDNA 4 -based video cards, however, AMD has officially confirmed that it will launch the products in the third month of the year. Recent leaks place listing of pre-sale cards on the 23rd, more for the end of the month. It remains to be seen if the company intends to take advantage of the same window for its new processors.
Despite the close release, it is hard to imagine that the manufacturer will try to convince people that products combine as a “bundle”. The Ryzen 7 9800x3D is already regarded as the fastest processor for games currently available, and the Ryzen 9 9950x3d and 9900x3D must have similar performance in games. Radeon RX 9070 XT and not XT, meanwhile, aim at a more intermediate segment.
Ryzen 9 9950x3d in March has always been on the plans?
