Intel optimizes Spider-Man 2 on PC and other major releases with new driver

Intel once again shows that it is engaged in optimizing its GPUs for major PC game releases, bringing a new version of its Game On -Support Driver to three prominent titles. One of the main is the Spider-Man 2 port for the platform, being released today, January 30, along with the driver.

Update is now available for download, with the official name of Intel Arc Graphics 32.0.101.6557 or 6262 – the ending changes depending on your hardware. In addition to bringing Game On to Spider-Man 2 on PC on dedicated video cards and integrated graphics, the new driver also optimizes Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Sid Meier’s Civilization VII.

In addition to optimization for releases, the update promises performance improvements in some games, comparing with their previous versions. For the ARC B series of dedicated video cards, the increments happen in F1 24, in Directx 12:

• Up to 15.1% plus FPS in 1080p, in the high
• Up to 12.1% plus FPS in 1440p, in the high

F1 24 also had gains in graphics integrated in Core Ultra Series 2, but it was not the only game:

• F1 24 (dx12): up to 12.3% plus SPF in 1080p, in medium
• Sid Meier’s Civilization VII (DX12): Até 7,7% mais fps em 1080p, no Medium

Bugs corrected and known to the new Intel driver

This time, in addition to optimizing games, the driver update brings the correction of a bug. With the new version, Intel Graphics Software should no longer show an incorrect XE centers for Arc B video cards.

However, several of the problems reported as known in the previous version of the driver persist. This includes F1 24, for example. Despite gaining performance with the update, the game can still have corruption and even the application’s crashes with the generation of XESS frames on.
