A Gainward revealed the GeForce RTX 5090D Frosta new graphics card that combines themed design and performance tuned for specific tasks such as artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency mining.
Exclusive to the Chinese market, the RTX 5090D Frost features a snowflake-inspired look and specifications based on the powerful chip GB202 GPUalso used in the standard version of the RTX 5090.
The RTX 5090D Frost is designed with a unique design that includes a three-slot heatsink equipped with three fans and snowflake patterns on the front casing. Furthermore, the card features a personalized backplate, reinforcing the distinctive visual theme.
Although full details have not been released by Gainward, it is known that the model has 21,760 CUDA cores e 32 GB of GDDR7 memorykeeping the same 575W at TDP of the standard RTX 5090.
The power connector follows the standard 16 pinsalready adopted in high-performance RTX 50 series GPUs.
Gainward’s RTX 5090D focuses on AI and mining
The “D” suffix in the model name indicates that this version is designed for specific applications, such as limited acceleration for artificial intelligence and mining.
This approach differs from the full version of the RTX 5090, which does not appear to be available for the Chinese market due to possible import restrictions.
The RTX 5090D Frost will be sold exclusively in China and is not listed on Gainward’s official website. So far, the price of the model has not been disclosed, and the company has also not mentioned global launch plans.
The absence of information about the non-D version of the RTX 5090 in the country raises questions about possible import or regulatory limitations.
In the meantime, we await more details on the full specifications and performance of the RTX 5090D Frost, especially considering its potential in AI data mining and processing scenarios.
