Intel should bring the B850 and H810 motherboards to the market on January 13th. According to Board Channels, Intel will lift the embargo on January 6th for pre-orders and announce the new cards a day later.
Usually the order is reversed, so this information could be wrong. It is also worth mentioning that Intel has already confirmed its presence at CES 2025 with an event on January 6th.
Until now, there are no midrange LGA-1851 motherboard models from Intel on the market and the company does not offer the Core Ultra 200 non-K series. So, gamers on a tighter budget will be forced to wait for these cards to arrive in January.

Cost and performance
With the rise in the dollar, Brazilian consumers are at a greater disadvantage when it comes to consuming high-performance components, making the announcement of mid-size models great news.
In terms of processors, at US$309.00, the Intel Core Ultra 5 245K has similar performance in professional applications when compared to the 14600K, which costs less. In terms of games, however, performance is worse and the Core i5 14600K defeats the Core Ultra 5 245K in several games.
Talking about higher performance components, the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, even with reductions in consumption and heating, achieved gains in several work cycles compared to its predecessor, the 14900K.
Unfortunately, the processor lost around 10% compared to the 14900K. However, considering how much less it consumes and heats up, the Core Ultra 9 285K establishes itself as a more robust and efficient product, even though it costs more at US$589.00.
In short, intermediate motherboards will be welcome, but the cost may still be relatively high for Brazilian consumers.
