When choosing a new mid-range smartphone, it is common to end up coming across options that offer similar specifications, but with subtle differences that can end up having weight when choosing and even depending on the expected experience.

Two of the models that stood out the most in 2024 in this segment were the Moto G75, from Motorola, and the Galaxy A35, from Samsung. Both promise great performance and cool features for an affordable price, but which one offers the best value for money? Let’s analyze and compare the main points of each one.

Design, screen and protection

When it comes to the screen, the Galaxy A35 has a slight advantage. Equipped with a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display and Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), the device guarantees vibrant colors, deep blacks and a higher level of brightness, making it a great option for watching videos and playing games. . Furthermore, its 120 Hz refresh rate ensures more fluid browsing.

The Moto G75, on the other hand, features a 6.78-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2388 pixels) and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Although it offers good images and fluidity, IPS LCD technology does not achieves the same level of contrast and vividness as the AMOLED panel.

In terms of protection, on one side we have the Galaxy A35 with Gorilla Glass Victus, which promises more resistance than the Moto G75’s Gorilla Glass 5. Regarding certification, the Motorola model comes out a little ahead as it has IP68 protection against the Galaxy’s IP67, which means it can dive for longer and to a greater depth. In addition, the Moto G75 also has a MIL STD 810H military ultra-resistance certificate, allowing it to survive extreme temperatures.

Performance and storage

In terms of performance, the Moto G75 features the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, while the Galaxy A35 is powered by the Exynos 1380. Both chips are efficient and offer good performance for everyday use and casual gaming, but the Snapdragon tends to be more optimized for a greater number of applications and games, providing better energy efficiency.

In terms of memory, the Moto G75 comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD). The Galaxy A35 offers versions with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and options of 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, also with support for microSD up to 1 TB. In this regard, there is a tie, with the Galaxy A35 having an advantage only because it guarantees a more affordable option for those who want a more basic model.

Cameras: which delivers the best photos?

For those who like taking photos, both models feature 50 MP main sensors, ensuring detailed photos with good light capture. However, the Galaxy A35’s camera set is more complete, with an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5 MP macro lens, thus ensuring more versatility in capturing different types of images.

The Moto G75, in turn, opts for a simpler approach, with an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, in addition to the aforementioned 50 MP main lens. In other words, it only has two lenses.

But in terms of the front camera, the Motorola model comes out ahead as it has a 16 MP lens, that is, a slightly higher resolution than the Galaxy A35, which offers 13 MP. This makes the Moto G75 a more interesting option for those who enjoy taking selfies.

Battery and charging

Both the Moto G75 and Galaxy A35 come with robust 5,000 mAh batteries, offering enough battery life for a full day of moderate to heavy use.

In terms of charging, the Moto G75 has a small advantage with support for 30W fast charging, while the Galaxy A35 offers 25W. Although the difference is not that significant, the Moto G75 charges a little faster, which can be practical in everyday life.

The price for each model depends on the season, including promotions, stores and offers. But to give you an idea, today (12/23/2024) on Amazon, the Moto G75 is priced at R$2,169, while the Galaxy A35 is priced at R$1,659.00.

Which one to choose?

As you can see from the comparisons, the Galaxy A35 is currently more advantageous.

It offers a high quality screen, a more complete set of cameras and even with the more affordable 128 GB option, the 256 GB storage model is more affordable than the Motorola one.

The Moto G75 has the advantage of a better optimized processor, more complete water resistance and slightly faster charging, so if you find it in this price range of R$1,7000, these are factors to be taken into account.
