Antec launches new ITX Performance 1M case, with aluminum body

Antec this week presented a new ITX case with aluminum panels called Performance 1M. The product offers an option for compact builds, featuring a system that allows users to choose between “maximum cooler” or “maximum GPU” modes.

The differentiated system of the Antec Performance 1M is basically the possibility of moving the central mounting structure of the case between two positions.

Thus, in one of the positions it offers more space for the cooler, which can be up to 85mm in height, to the detriment of the GPU, which has a maximum thickness of 40mm. In the other position, the cooler is a maximum of 47mm and the GPU is now a maximum of 78mm.

Meanwhile, the graphics card can be up to 350mm long, and the source up to 130mm. Being an ITX case, the Antec Performance 1M only supports mini-ITX boards.

In terms of fans, the case appears to be less versatile. Interested users will have space to install only two fans, on the bottom of the product. The fans can be at least 120mm or 140mm.

The main attraction for Antec’s small new case is, of course, its compact size. The Performance 1M measures 424 x 260 x 175mm and weighs 4.9kg, coming in black and greenish color options, which the manufacturer calls “adventurine”.

It is also worth mentioning that the case requires the video card to be mounted vertically, so it already comes with a previously installed PCIe 4.0 riser cable.

Antec states that its partner stores will start selling the Performance 1M at the end of January next year, for a suggested price of €299. This is approximately R$1,891 at the current euro exchange rate.
