AMD may launch Ryzen 5 9600, without X, at the end of January 2025

AMD should considerably expand its CPU portfolio at the beginning of 2025, if all the rumors and leaks about the company’s hardware are confirmed. Now we have information from a well-known “leaker” pointing out that the company will launch a Ryzen 5 9600 at the end of January.

In other words, it would be a variant without the the CPU.

Despite the lack of information in the post, we know what to expect from this type of AMD launch. The Ryzen 5 9600 will probably be very similar to the version already available with the X, but using a reduced clock rate, for a slightly more affordable price.

Normally, all other details would remain the same. However, VideoCardz recalls that AMD has already used different architectures between versions with or without X of processors with similar names. If the company implements, for example, Strix Point for the Ryzen 5 9600, we will have differences in the cache as well.

Speaking specifically of the Ryzen 9000 line, rumors already point out that AMD also intends to bring two new options with 3D V-Cache, also in January. They would be the most advanced Ryzen 9 9900X3D and Ryzen 9 9950 X3D.

If all the rumors are confirmed, interestingly we will have the top and bottom of the Ryzen 9000 lineup gaining new options in the same launch window. The series would be expanding with three new models for a total of eight SKUs carrying the Ryzen 9000 name.
