DeepCool launches the Assassin IV VC Vision, air cooler with vapor chamber and display

DeepCool this week launched a new version of its Assassin IV cooler, adding VC Vision to its name. The difference in the title indicates the new features present in the component – ​​VC for the Vapor Chamber and Vision for its new digital display.

The Assassin IV VC Vision is compatible with both Intel and AMD, including the latest LGA1851 and AM5 sockets, respectively. To facilitate installation, the 120mm fan can be replaced on the opposite side of its standard position, offering more mounting options. The fan also has a fluid dynamic bearing.

DeepCool claims that the introduction of the vapor chamber greatly helps the performance of its new cooler. Thus, the manufacturer promises that the product is capable of dissipating heat equivalent to 300W of TDP.

For the digital panel, the Assassin IV VC Vision needs to be connected to a USB 2.0 header on the board. It offers CPU temperature, usage, and frequency information. Furthermore, the small screen features a colored thermometer, with red alerts for when the processor exceeds 90ºC. Using a button on the cooler, users can choose between silent and performance fan modes.

The new DeepCool cooler measures 147 x 144 x 172mm, weighing 1.78kg. It promises up to 61.25CFM in airflow, with a noise level reaching 29.3dBA, in performance mode. In silent mode, the noise drops to 22.6dBA, and the airflow is estimated at 48.55CFM.

The product arrives in black in January 2025, for the suggested price of US$149.99, which is approximately R$926 at the current price. The manufacturer offers a six-year limited warranty for its new cooler. Furthermore, the Assassin IV VC Vision will get a white variant eventually, but without a release window for now.
