Furthermore, the configuration can be customized for each conversation, allowing, for example, a translation from Chinese to Portuguese in one chat and from English to Portuguese in another.

To carry out translations securely and without depending on external servers, WhatsApp will request the download of small language packs, which will only take up a few megabytes on the device.
