Directly responsible for the sound characteristics that marked the 80s, Phil Collins managed to reach the top of the world both as a musician and as a frontman, whether in Genesis, after the departure of Peter Gabriel, or in his solo career, full of hits and iconic moments, such as the classic drum fill in “In the Air Tonight” from his debut solo album, the Face Valuereleased in 1981, or for his always remembered participation in Live Aidem 1985.
Collins played on both stages of the event, London and Philadelphia, using the Concorde supersonic plane to be able to travel in time and be able to play in both locations.
Jumping to the 90s, a decade that was also marked by his departure from Genesis to focus on his solo career, Collins released in 1993 the Both Sideschosen by the drummer and singer as his favorite album of his career. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of its release, a special edition of the album arrived on the market in September, entitled Both Sides (All the Sides)a 5 LP box set that includes the first demo tracks, live songs and other rarities, as well as, of course, remasters of the original songs.
In addition to the tracks, Collins’ team recently released Full HD remasters for the 4 singles from this work: Everyday, We Wait And We Wonder, Both Sides Of The Story e Can’t Turn Back the Years. The information was confirmed by Collins’ official account on X.
“As part of the release of “Both Sides (All The Sides), the new 5-LP deluxe edition of Phil Collins’ fifth studio album “Both Sides” – the music videos for all four singles from the album have been remastered in HD quality and are now available to watch on YouTube.”
