O iPhone was the best-selling second-hand product between January and October this year through OLXthe largest used product classifieds marketplace in Brazil. According to the platform survey, the item corresponded to 34% of sales share in the first ten months of the yearfollowed by refrigerator, with 22% and TV with 18%. In terms of models, the OLX announced that the iPhone 11 was the best-selling during the first half of the year.
“Cellphones, electronics and household products are the items that generate the most sales through the platform. And those who buy tend to get good deals: the iPhone 11, for example, the best-selling used cell phone from Apple, costs on average 18% less compared to the same new product,” comments Flávio Passos, VP of Autos and Consumer Goods at the OLX Group.
Most searched and advertised
The categories of cell phones and electronics and household items also predominate among the most sought after and most advertised products. The iPhone leads in both rankings.
Black Friday
According to an OLX survey of purchasing intentions for Black Friday 2024, electronics and cell phones are the most desired items, considered by 62% of respondents, 56% want to purchase clothes and accessories, while 55% look at household appliances. The responses follow the same consumption trend as last year.
According to a survey carried out by Mercado Pagodigital bank of the Mercado Livre Group, 87% of Brazilians said they intend to anticipate Christmas shopping during Black Friday 2024, which will take place next Friday (29), and more than half (54%) intend to allocate part of their 13th salary to these purchases.
