TeamGroup reveals new T-Create Expert P32 external SSD, with 1.8GB/s speed

TeamGroup has announced a new line of large capacity external SSDs. The T-Create Expert P32 arrives soon in 8TB and 16TB options, reaching up to 1.8GB/s speed. The products are Thunderbolt compatible and use a USB-C connection.

TeamGroup’s new external SSDs arrive protected by an aluminum casing that measures 110 x 65 x 26mm, about the size of a deck of cards. Inside, the drives have graphene heatsinks to help reduce temperatures and promote greater longevity for the products.

As shown in the specifications table above, the 8TB T-Create Expert P32 reaches speeds of 1,700MB/s, both read and write. It is the 16TB version that reaches 1,800MB/s, also in both modes. TeamGroup promises a three-year warranty for SSDs.

Unfortunately, the company does not provide the estimated durability (TBW) of the T-Create Expert P32 series. It was also not stated what type of NAND Flash they use – TLC or QLC, etc. We know, however, that they do not incorporate cache with DRAM. This is not surprising for products that do not highlight performance as their main attraction.

TeamGroup promises T-Create Expert P32 in 2024

TeamGroup did not provide a price or a concrete release date for its new external SSDs. The company said, however, that they will arrive in the last quarter of 2024, with global availability. As it is November 26th, it is expected that the T-Create Expert P32 will start hitting shelves in December.

The site speculates that we should see something close to US$2,000 for the 8TB version and values ​​around US$4,000 for the 16TB model.
