According to leaker Billbil-kun, from the dealabs portal, Sony will launch versions of the DualSense Edge, Pulse Elite Headset and Pulse Explore headphones in black. Although the information is not official, the leaker is highly reliable and is always correct when it comes to PlayStation.
Billbil-kun usually releases information about the PlayStation universe a few weeks in advance. According to him, Sony is preparing some new features and the black version of the PlayStation 5 controller is one of them.
The DualSense Edge and Pulse accessories should receive an official announcement before Christmas. Billbil-kun took the opportunity and highlighted the international price of the devices:
- DualSense Edge: US$199.99 (R$1,160 in direct conversion)
- Pulse Elite Headphone: US$ 149.99 (R$ 870 in direct conversion)
- Pulse Explore headphones: US$199.99 (R$1,160 in direct conversion)
If the information is correct, the DualSense Edge in black will cost the same amount as the traditional white version. We emphasize that the Edge controller is the ‘Pro’ version of the PlayStation 5 controller, with extra buttons and a remapping function.
New color of DualSense Edge and Pulse accessories will expand portfolio
Pulse line accessories and the DualSense Edge in black will not provide different functions compared to the normal version. The offer of new colors is just a variation for those looking for a different look on their devices, moving away from traditional white.
The base version of the DualSense controls has some color variations, like the Chroma line of PS5 controls and covers. We don’t know if the PlayStation 5 covers will also receive a black version, but Sony usually matches the colors of the controller with those of the video game.
Currently, the DualSense Edge has a color variation from the PlayStation 1. The audio accessories are only available in white. It will be interesting to see if Sony will announce the new color options alongside Christmas promotions, offering the opportunity to purchase the products at a discount.
