Aoostar launches mini PC that literally fits in the palm of your hand

Aoostar launched a new mini PC this week with a lot of emphasis on “mini”. The N1 Pro measures just 8.9cm on the sides and 4.15cm in height, resulting in a total volume of just 0.33L. So Aoostar’s small laptop literally fits in the palm of a person’s hand.

As you would expect, such a compact mini PC sacrifices performance in exchange for portability. The N1 Pro features the Intel N100 processor, a quad-core without hyperthreading that has already been on the market for two years. The CPU has a clock speed of 3.4GHz and should be enough for simple, everyday tasks, such as surfing the internet and doing some office work. The integrated GPU is Intel UHD, at 750MHz.

For such a small product, Aoostar’s new mini PC offers considerable connection options. On one side we have three USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, on the other we have a DisplayPort 1.4, an HDMI and a USB-C. On the back there are two 2.5G Ethernet ports. And, speaking of connections, the N1 Pro is also compatible with Wi-Fi 6.

Aoostar N1 Pro mini PC price and availability

Aoostar’s pocket PC with Intel N100 is now on sale at the Geekwills store, in three different configuration and price options. Check it out below.

• Barebone (without memory): US$159 (R$922)
• 12GB de RAM + 512GB de SSD: US$ 199 (R$ 1.154)
• 12GB de RAM + 1TB de SSD: US$ 259 (R$ 1.502)

The barebone version leaves the acquisition of memories and storage drives up to the user. The mini PC offers a single DDR5-4800 slot and an M.2 2242 NVMe connection, via the SATA interface. It is also worth mentioning that the N1 Pro has an external source, which unfortunately was not shown in the images.

With such a simple processor and no OCuLink or USB4 port, the N1 Pro cannot be used properly with external GPUs. In other words, it really is a product for basic computer use that can help when traveling or for use at work and at home.
