We are getting closer and closer to coming into contact with the new generation of GeForce video cards. NVIDIA is expected to present the first RTX 50 series options in January, during CES. Among the models, one of the most talked about, with constant rumors, is the RTX 5090.
How much will the RTX 5090 cost?
Although it is certain that the price of the RTX 5090 will be increased, the exact value is still under discussion. According to profile information Bits and Chips on X (formerly Twitter), which cites journalist sources in China and Japan, the estimate is that NVIDIA’s new high-end card will cost around US$ 1.900.
For comparison purposes, when the RTX 4090 was launched in 2022, its official price was US$ 1.600. This difference reinforces the expectation that the RTX 5090 will come with a considerable increase in cost, possibly reflecting improvements in performance and technological advances.
Customized models can increase the price even further
It is important to note that the estimated value of US$1,900 does not apply to all versions of the RTX 5090. Some customized variants, known as custom models, may have significantly higher prices. These editions include not only visual modifications, but also adjustments such as factory overclocking, which further increase the card’s performance and, consequently, the final cost.
According to the Chinese website Benchlifeciting sources among NVIDIA’s partner manufacturers, the GeForce card giant is expected to present five models in early 2025. The models would be as follows:
- RTX 5090;
- RTX 5090D (exclusive for the Chinese market);
- RTX 5080
- RTX 5070 Ti
- RTX 5070.
Regarding the possible specifications of the RTX 5090, we have the following:
- GPU: GB202-300 (based on the BlackWell architecture);
- CUDA Colors: 21760;
- Memory: 32 GB GDDR7, interface de 512-bit;
