Mini PC with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 at 70W and vapor chamber debuts for US$738

The Evo X1, a mini PC with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 from GMK, went on pre-sale in China, revealing its price and some more details about its configuration. What stands out most about this device is that the CPU operates at 70W, much more than the standard configuration which is between 15W and 54W.

Now we know that GMK installed a vapor chamber in its mini PC to help cool the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with a high TDP. The manufacturer promises performance comparable to an RTX 2060 with the processor’s integrated Radeon 890M, so cooling is very important.

However, for those who don’t want to depend on integrated graphics, the Evo X1 features an OCuLink connection to connect an external GPU. Finalizing the published specifications, we have 32GB of LPDDRX-7500 RAM memory. It has space for up to two M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs.

It is worth noting that this memory format means that the RAM is soldered to the motherboard, making upgrades impossible. The mini PC measures 110 x 107 x 63mm, which is almost a NUC format, according to VideoCardz. We have DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 connections for the screen, as well as a USB 4 port with 120W Power Delivery.

We still don’t know if the Evo X1 will fulfill its promise of offering performance comparable to an RTX 2060, but it is already attracting attention due to its price. Among the first wave of mini PCs with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, it debuted at the most competitive price.
