A Microsoft launched this Tuesday (12) the update KB5046613, intended for Windows 10 version 22H2. The main focus of this update is to fix a bug that affected the launch of some games with DRM, which appeared after the previous update, the KB5044384. According to the company, the failure was caused by a modification introduced in the last update and which has now been reversed with the new patch.
Update Availability and Importance
The update is now available through Windows Update and Microsoft Update Catalog. The update is mandatory as it includes Microsoft’s November 2024 Patch Tuesday security updates. Regarding security, the update addresses 91 problems, including 4 zero-day vulnerabilities.
Additional Fixes and Improvements
In addition to the fix for game-related issues, the patch includes a total of 10 fixes. Among them are:
- Workaround for a vulnerability in the DriverSiPolicy.p7b file
- Fixes issues that caused Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) when upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11
- Improvements to Xbox 360 and Bluetooth controller detection in WebView2 applications
- Fixed issues with USB-connected multifunction printers (MFPs) printing unwanted network commands
