Arcane has been gaining more and more fans, even viewers who have never played LoL, thanks to the quality of Netflix’s animation and the well-crafted plot, in addition to the charisma of characters like Jinx. However, as expected, Riot Games is taking advantage of this success to bring good news to fans of the franchise and, who knows, attract new players?
It turns out that the company has officially confirmed what many League of Legends fans have been waiting for: Jinx’s long-awaited gameplay in 2XKO, its new fighting game. The iconic character will be playable in 2025, and her first preview of her powers was released this Tuesday, November 12th.

Jinx gains visual and movement improvements in 2XKO
When the game was still known as Project L, the company had already introduced Jinx as a character, but when it officially became 2XKO, the character disappeared and was not even mentioned, which ended up generating a certain expectation as to whether she would be in the title or not.
In October, Riot finally revealed that she would still be part of the game, and also confirmed that the character would gain a new look, updated especially to coincide with the launch of Arcane’s second season.
This update was very evident in Jinx’s official design in 2XKO, which is inspired by her default League of Legends skin, but with animations that demonstrate her complex and chaotic personality.
When watching the teaser, it is impossible not to notice Jinx’s facial expressions and combat style, which bring out her uninhibited and explosive essence. She displays a maniacal smile, and her reactions to the recoil of her weapons bring out the unpredictable behavior she is known for. Furthermore, Jinx’s abilities in 2XKO are a reflection of those already known in League of Legends: she carries her explosive traps, the Chompers, her Pow-Pow machine gun and the iconic Fishbones rocket launcher, which are part of her classic kit.
New skills and references
But, even bringing familiar skills to the fighting game, 2XKO also presents exciting new features for the character. When she uses Fishbones, her famous rocket launcher, it shoots towards the enemy and launches them into the air, creating a colorful explosion scene reminiscent of her exploits in Arcane and the “Get Jinxed” music video.
Some mechanics and movements even seem directly inspired by the young Powder, her alter ego in Arcane, giving a special touch to the combat. The highlight of the trailer, however, is Jinx’s ultimate ability: Monkey Tank. The monkey’s head resembles the “Powder Wind-Up Monkey” toy, but this time it carries a powerful cannon in its mouth, ready to launch devastating attacks against enemies.
Plans for the Future of 2XKO
In addition to Jinx’s reveal, 2XKO’s developers also shared updates on the game’s progress. Shaun, project director, revealed that the next playtest will bring improvements to controls, reduce recovery time after receiving combos and provide more opportunities for team plays and interactions between champions.
The next Alpha Lab (as the public tests are called) will be launched in the second quarter of 2025 and will increase access to more regions, allowing more players to try the game.
