Brazilians seek crowdfunding to launch book and documentary about the history of Nintendo

Focused on telling the story of one of the most important companies in the world of video games, the Nintendistas Project confirmed its campaign in Catarse to facilitate the launch of a luxury book and a documentary about the trajectory of Nintendo.

According to the campaign page, the Nintendistas Project is “a great celebration of Brazilians’ passion for Nintendo, considered by many to be the most influential company in the world of video games”. The project has the collaboration of several journalists who have covered Nintendo directly, including Pablo Miyazawa, who has worked in publications such as Nintendo World, EGM Brasil and others.

The Contents of the Nintendistas Project Book

The campaign highlights a book that includes detailed information about the Nintendo universe. Check out the main points of the book’s content below:

• Oral History of Nintendo in Brazil: Report told by people who directly participated in this story, with unpublished and exclusive testimonies.
• Nintendo World Magazine Retrospective: An unprecedented coverage of this iconic publication.
• Nintendo Overview: Main games, consoles and accessories from each phase of the company, since the 1970s.
• Nintendo in Other Media: Analysis of Nintendo’s importance in areas such as TV, cinema, merchandising, parks and much more.
• Exclusive Interviews: Full interviews with Shigeru Miyamoto and other legendary Nintendo creators.
• Behind the Scenes, Photos and Secrets: Unpublished content with photos and secrets never previously revealed.

Graphic and Editorial Aspect of the Book

The book will be a deluxe edition with a hardcover, 180 pages and coated paper. There will be no digital version; The financing only covers the physical edition.

Exclusive documentary by the Nintendistas Project

In addition to the book, the project team will also produce a documentary, which will bring together the main interviews used for the book’s content, as well as dozens of hours of images from the personal archive of Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of classics such as Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong.
