Sony has confirmed that it will end production of the PS VR camera adapter for the PlayStation 5. The item is free and works on the original VR headset, allowing connection to the company’s current console.
The Japanese company offers the PS VR camera adapter for free. THE free distribution and production will end on November 26th. In other words, if you have the PS5 and PS VR, but don’t have the adapter, it’s a good idea to hurry up and purchase the accessory soon.
We emphasize that the adapter is for PS VR and not for PS VR2. The accessory allows the headset to be connected to the PlayStation 5, due to the absence of the exclusive camera connector. The accessory is necessary for anyone looking to connect the PS VR camera to the PlayStation 5 console.
PS VR adapter will no longer be produced
Sony did not provide further information about why it was ending production of the PS VR camera adapter. Even so, as the accessory is from the old version of the device, everything suggests that most PS VR owners already have it.
