TeamGroup has unveiled its first generation of CAMM2 (Compression Attached Memory Module 2) memory aimed at consumers, creators and industrial use. The T-Create series kit features DDR5 7200 MT/s CL34-42-42-84 specifications, achieved through manual overclocking. The information is from the Videocardz website.
Although T-Create memory operates at 7200 MT/s, the company expects to reach speeds of 8000 to 9000 MT/s in the future. And a 6400 MT/s module is under development for industrial applications.
The overclocked memory offers write, copy and read speeds of 108,000MB/s, 106,000MB/s and 117,000MB/s, respectively, while maintaining a latency of 55 ns. This new model is aimed at consumers and gamers, although there are still questions about the availability of CAMM2-compatible motherboards.
Testing and Compatibility
The memory was tested on the MSI Z790 Project Zero, a special board equipped with a CAMM2 slot. Currently, there is no official news about Z890 CAMM2 motherboards directly from companies, but it appears that Gigabyte is producing a special TACHYON board with this standard.
CAMM2 supports dual-channel mode with a single memory module, simplifying system architecture and significantly reducing power consumption. With an integrated CKD (Client Clock Driver) to improve signal integrity, these models are smaller and ideal for thin and light notebooks.
According to the information, TeamGroup’s T-Create CAMM2 memory will be launched in the first quarter of 2025.
