AMD CEO confirms that RDNA 4 will arrive in early 2025

Denying rumors about possible delays, AMD CEO Lisa Su confirmed that the first RDNA 4 GPU will arrive in early 2025. The executive did not offer a more precise launch window, but the information seems to indicate that we will actually have an announcement during CES 2025 – in January.

Su’s speech came during AMD’s last conference for investors, where the company spoke about its earnings for Q3 2024. Despite the precipitous drop in revenues in the “gaming” segment – ​​where Radeon GPUs are included – the head of AMD spoke about the next generation RDNA:

“In gaming graphics, revenue fell year over year as we prepare our transition to the next generation of Radeon GPUs based on our RDNA 4 architecture,” Su told investors. “In addition to a strong improvement in gaming performance, RDNA 4 delivers significantly higher ray tracing performance and adds new AI capabilities. We are on track to launch the first RDNA 4 GPUs in early 2025.”

The next generation of AMD graphics cards, based on the RDNA 4 architecture, should be a curious launch for the company.
