Price comparison tool Geizhals for European retailers has listed the full specifications of AMD’s upcoming 8-core CPU. Previously, AMD had already confirmed the launch of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D for November and prices were leaked in the US.

According to the Geizhals website, the new Ryzen 7 9800X3D has a base frequency of 4.7 GHz, a boost clock of 5.2 GHz and a TDP of 120W. Both values are higher than the 8-core 9700X processor launched in August.

The specs also confirm support for all AMD 600-series motherboards, including the A620 and PRO workstation series. The listing indicates that the CPU uses the same silicon as existing models, labeled GNR-B0. It also mentions “Free Multiplier: Yes,” suggesting that traditional overclocking will be available, unlike the last generation of CPUs with 3D V-Cache, which had this function locked.

Waiting for Official Announcement

Although the specifications seem detailed, it is important to exercise caution until AMD makes the official announcement. Support for CPU multiplier changes would be a significant upgrade for the upcoming 9000X3D series. The 9800X3D model reached 5.3 GHz to 5.6 GHz, with some of these frequencies being the result of Precision Boost Overdrive, but the 5.6 GHz could indicate true overclocking.

The launch would be for November 7th and no other parts of the X3D line are listed.
