New Intel driver improves Metaphor and Spider-Man performance on its GPUs

This week, Intel released the latest driver update for Arc GPUs, now at version 101.6127/6044. The version is so new that it is still in its beta phase, but it brings important performance improvements to Metaphor: ReFantazio on dedicated cards and to Marvel’s Spider-Man on integrated graphics.

The first highlight, however, is for a game less known than these. No More Room in Hell 2 launches in early access on October 22nd, and the new driver brings Game Ready support for the title. In other words, anyone using Intel graphics and looking forward to the new zombie multiplayer can now update.

Moving on to improvements to already released games, Intel makes different promises for the dedicated Arc A-series cards and for integrated graphics. Check out the performance gains on Intel graphics cards below:

• Core Keeper (DX11): Up to 11% more fps at 1080p with Very High graphics | Up to 13% at 1440p on the same setting
• Metaphor: ReFantasia (DX11): Up to 20% more fps at 1440p with graphics on High.

Moving on to integrated graphics on Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, the company promises:

• Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered (DX12): Up to 8% more fps at 1080p with graphics on Medium
• Assassin’s Creed Mirage (DX12): Up to 24% more fps at 1080p with graphics on Medium and “adaptive quality” turned off

New Intel beta driver fixes bugs in integrated graphics

The latest driver update from Intel only provides a fix for Arc graphics integrated into Core Ultra Series 1 and 2 processors. Check out the issues that have been fixed below:

• When enabling or disabling Endurance Gaming, the previous framerate preset may not maintain the desired number.
• Chaos Enscape Benchmark 4.1 may have visual corruption.
• 3DMark Wildlife Extreme could perform below expectations.
• Final Fantasy XVI (DX12) could exhibit corruption during gameplay.
