Radeon RX 7650 GRE uses Navi 33 GPU and arrives after CES, only in China [RUMOR]

New rumors about the Radeon RX 7650 GRE provide technical details about the card, but deny its launch window. Chinese website Benchlife.info claims that AMD’s latest Golden Rabbit Edition GPU will be launched after CES 2025, different from previous rumors.

Supposedly, the AMD Radeon RX 7650 GRE will arrive at the end of March, two months after the Consumer Electronics Show. Furthermore, the card would have its initial launch exclusively for China, something common for GRE models of AMD cards.

The website also states that the new RX 7650 GRE will be made with Navi 33, because AMD’s main objective with these models would be to release stock of these GPUs before the RX 8000 series arrives on the market. These cards, yes, should make their debut at CES 2025.

Using Navi 33 chips, the Radeon RX 7650 GRE can be compared to the RX 7600 (8GB) and the RX 7600 XT (16GB). The rumors don’t yet say which of these cards the special edition will be closest to. However, it is likely that the main attraction of the new model will be more in the price than in performance improvements – especially if AMD really wants to “clean up” its Navi 33 stocks.

Radeon RX 7650 GRE will take time to reach stores

The information that AMD wants to reduce its Navi 33 stock with the Radeon RX 7650 GRE, if true, is important to speculate what to expect from the product. And this also affects the possibility of seeing this GPU officially sold outside of China as well.

If the number of sales in the Asian market is sufficient for AMD’s plans, it is possible that the company will not want to invest in the logistics of a global launch. Likewise, if there is still a lot of stock left, it is more likely that the card will follow the same path as the Radeon RX 7900 GRE.

In any case, we can once again expect a scarce volume of units of the new GRE graphics card, as is usually the case with these models.
