MSI has announced that it will offer keys for Metaphor: ReFantazio on PC as a gift to buyers of one of its new boards with the X870 or X870E chipset. These are the mobo models optimized for the new generation of AMD processors based on Zen 5, the Ryzen 9000.
The promotion is valid for purchases made between October 11th and November 11th. The models eligible for the bundle are:
- MEG X870E Godlike
- MPG X870E Carbon WIFI
- MAG X870 Tomahawk WIFI
- PRO X870-P WIFI
The manufacturer highlights some of the features that eligible cards have in common: “using UltraConnect technology, these motherboards deliver advanced networking, storage and expansion capabilities, including 5G LAN and Wi-Fi 7 with speeds of up to 5.8Gbps. MSI has introduced support for true 320Hz Wi-Fi 7 on all of its X870 line cards.”
The period for redeeming the key on the MSI website runs until November 25th. However, it appears that the bundle is only valid for countries in Asia at the moment. The company did not explain in detail, but accessing the promotion website results in a prompt to choose your region, which does not include territories outside the East.

MSI once again boasts about Wi-Fi 7 on its cards
The company mentions “true Wi-Fi 7” when advertising its bundle with Metaphor: ReFantazio on its X870 cards. The comment is an obvious reference to the marketing that MSI has done to stand out from the competition with the network technology implemented in its mobos.
What happens is that some manufacturers have chosen to implement 160Hz Wi-Fi 7 on their more affordable cards, reserving the maximum 320Hz band for the more premium options. MSI, meanwhile, uses 320Hz on all of its X870 cards, which the company calls “true Wi-Fi 7.”
