TeamGroup’s new XTREEM CKD memories reach 9600MT/s

TeamGroup revealed this week its new XTREEM CKD memories, with 24GB modules, in kits of two. As the name CKD (Client Clock Driver) indicates, these are CUDIMM DDR5 components, capable of reaching up to 9600MT/s when overclocked. The manufacturer, however, emphasizes that the memories are aimed at Intel cards, with the Z890 chipset.

The new T-Force XTREMM CKD DDR5 kits operate between 8200 and 9000MT/s, reaching their maximum speed of 9600MT/s only when overclocked. Therefore, they are products compatible with XMP profiles, for Intel’s latest platform. TeamGroup itself released images of diagnostic tools calculating the performance of its new modules:

The products will be sold in kits with two modules, totaling 48GB of capacity. It is in this format that its maximum speed can be reached, but anyone who wants to take advantage of four slots will still be able to use the new XTREEM CKD running at 8800MT/s. The heatsinks on each module measure 2mm and do not come with RGB lights.

TeamGroup says it ensures the quality of each chip and circuit layout “rigorously” through its patented IC verification technology.

XTREEM CKD adds to CUDIMM memory roster

Even before the launch of the new generation of motherboards – both Intel and AMD – memory manufacturers had been promising new modules with impressive speeds, thanks to CUDIMM technology.

The XTREEM CKD joins the list of modules capable of reaching 9600MT/s in overclocking. However, we already have promises that we will see the 10,000MT/s mark reached in this generation.

While the number of CUDIMM memory options increases, the disclosure of their prices remains timid. TeamGroup unfortunately does not yet want to reveal how much it will charge for its new XTREEM. The company only recommends that its fans “stay tuned” for future information about product sales.
