AMD Ryzen Ai Pro 300 is now official: Zen 5 Professional up to 12 nuclei

AMD officially presented today, October 10th, its new series of processors aimed at professional use, the Ryzen AI PRO 300. There are three new SKUs based on Zen 5 offering up to 12 cores, and all with hyperthreading, as has become customary for to AMD.

The models that mark the debut of the series are:

• Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 375: 12 núcleos | 24 threads
• Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370: 12 núcleos | 24 threads
• Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360: 8 núcleos | 16 threads

AMD itself released a comparative table compared to the past generation of its professional processors. The maximum nuclei count increased and the number of GPU compute (CUS) as well. While the 8040 series offered 12 RDNA 3 CUs, the new Ryzen AI PRO 300 features 16 RDNA 3.5 CUs.

Another feature that the company highlights in its new generation of Zen 5 processors – whether PRO or not – is the new NPU. AMD’s latest components brought the first iteration of its NPU to XDNA, while now we reach XDNA 2. It is a considerable increase in the estimated performance for AI, going from 16 TOPs to 55 TOPs, maintaining the same TDP of the final product.

Ryzen AI PRO 300 and non-PRO: what’s the difference?
