Super Flower presents its new Leadex III line of ATX 3.1 power supplies

Power supply manufacturer Super Flower has revealed its new Leadex III line, with PSUs certified for ATX 3.1. There are several capacity options, all with the 80 Plus Gold energy efficiency seal. The company promises “unparalleled performance and efficiency” for its new products, in addition to safety.

The Leadex III ATX 3.1 line uses HCS terminals and comes with two 8-pin sockets that connect to the 12+4 connection for the GPU, promising to avoid bending situations with very acute angles on the cable, as a safety measure. Super Flower equipped its new power supplies with a 140mm fluid dynamic bearing (FDB) fan, but did not provide thermal dissipation estimates.

The company highlights the use of Japanese capacitors in the construction of the sources, “to ensure stability, durability and performance”, but does not inform the brand. Among the protection mechanisms included in the Leadex III line, we have High Voltage, High Current, High Energy, Short Circuit, Low Voltage, High Temperature, No Load Operation and surge protection.

We still don’t have confirmations about the energy needs of the new generation of NVIDIA graphics cards, but all rumors point to not very modest consumption. Following this trend, the appearance of sources with increasingly greater capacities in their most basic models should become more common.

And for those who don’t want to have any problems with the power supply’s capacity, Super Flower revealed a product in June with somewhat impressive numbers. The Leadex VII offers up to 2,800W, enough to power four RTX 4090s at the same time.
