Launched last week with the purpose of ending errors called “Vmin Shift Instability” in Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh processors, it is the third in a series of solutions presented by the manufacturer to end the headache caused.
Although it was presented as a resolution to all the recent problems, it had not been confirmed by Intel that the 0x12B microcode would be the last to be made available to deal with the instability problems – something that was confirmed by Gigabyte, however.
With the microcode update arriving on Intel Z790 motherboards produced by Gigabyte, its official website states that this will be the definitive solution to mitigate cases of instability in 13th and 14th Generation CPUs.
