Information obtained by Videocardz reveals the announcement dates, reviews and sales of the Intel Core Ultra 200 “Arrow Lake-S” processors, which will debut the new LGA-1851 socket. Next week, Intel is expected to make the presentation to the press, followed by the public announcement with sales starting on October 24th.
According to the website, Robert Hallock and Roger Chandler will present to the world press on October 7th. Three days later, the official announcement takes place, where we will find out details about the Arrow Lake-S CPUs. The first reviews, along with initial sales, start from October 24th. The announcement date had already appeared in a rumor in August.
Furthermore, ASUS’ Z890 motherboards will be launched alongside Intel Core Ultra 200 processors. And to add strength to the information, Videocardz also released the first image of the Maximus Apex, one of ASUS’ top-of-the-line mainboards, focused on overclocking .
Almost a month ago, another leak indicated that LGA-1851 motherboards with Intel Z890 chipsets would arrive on October 24th. This tends to be the standard movement when we talk about the launch of new generations of CPUs.
Intel Core Ultra 200 Specifications
In recent weeks, we have had different leaks of the next generation of desktop CPUs that will fight against the AMD Ryzen 9000. From photos of the processors, prices, as well as different benchmarks with some SKUs in the lineup. And speaking of them, the specifications of some of the CPUs have also been leaked:
- Core Ultra 9 285K: 24 núcleos / 24 threads / 3,7-5,7 GHz / 36 MB L3 / 40 MB L2 / 125W-250W
- Core Ultra 7 265K: 20 núcleos / 20 threads / 3,9-5,5 GHz / 30 MB L3 / 36 MB L2 / 125W-250W
- Core Ultra 5 245K: 14 núcleos / 14 threads / 4,2-5,2 GHz / 24 MB L3 / 26 MB L2 / 125W-159W
Compared to the current generation Raptor Lake Refresh (14th generation), the Intel Core Ultra 200 has fewer cores compared to its equivalents. Another advantage of the new generation will be the greater amount of L2 cache. TDP, L3 cache and clocks are lower, if we consider this unofficial information.
