MSI prepares Project Zero boards with hidden connector for Intel and AMD 800

MSI has revealed that it is preparing more motherboard models with its Project Zero design for cable management. In other words, we will soon have new models from the brand with hidden connectors on the back, both with Intel 800 and AMD 800 chipsets as well.

The information comes from a tour that the manufacturer recently offered to some representatives of the specialized media. It is the same tour that revealed a new MSI power supply with two 12V-2×6 connectors.

The company showed in a slideshow that it will offer five new Project Zero models – three from Intel and two from AMD. These will be new options, joining the already launched Intel Z790, Intel B760M and AMD B650M portfolio. Some high-end models are expected among the new models.

MSI’s Project Zero boards place the main connector on the back of the motherboard, helping to hide cables. Therefore, to make the most of the design, it is recommended to have a compatible case, prepared for the positioning of the motherboard’s connectors. Thus, MSI showed one of these models as well.

MSI helps with hidden cable builds

At the same presentation of the new Project Zero cards, MSI showed the MAG Pano 110R PZ, its new case with panoramic view (aquarium style) with support for hidden connector cards.

As hidden connector motherboards become more popular, more compatible cases are appearing, not just from motherboard manufacturers themselves. Thermaltake recently showed off options that also support the design.
